Damien joined Luminous in 2022 as a Portfolio Manager, hailing from AL Capital, where he co-managed A$30-50m, identifying long/short opportunities in Asia Pacific equities. Earlier at RHB Asset Management, Lion Global Investors, and Daiwa Asset Management, in addition to co-managing Asia-ex-Japan funds, he developed regional investment strategies for technology, consumer and industrial sectors. He is armed with 10 years of experience as an Asian equities analyst.
Damien studied Accounting at Nanyang Technological University. He is a CFA Charterholder and a CPA.
Tuyen Nguyen
SENIOR Analyst
Tuyen has over 12 years of equity investment experience. She joined from VinaCapital Group where she was Senior Investment Associate covering the equity portion of a balanced fund. Previously, Tuyen spent 7 years with Mirae Asset Global Investments, where she started her career as an Equity Research Analyst and progressed eventually to become a Portfolio Manager managing IPO funds.
Tuyen holds a Bachelor of Banking & Finance from Banking University HCMC, and a Fund Management Certificate granted by State Securities Commission of Vietnam.
Sophia Truong
Analyst
Quynh joined from Oriental Commercial Bank where she was an Investment Banking Associate with responsibility for cross-border M&A deals for Japanese clients. Previously, she spent 2 years with Rhinos Asset Management, where she started her career as an Investment Analyst.
Quynh holds a Bachelor of Finance and Marketing (First Class Honors) from Keele University, and a Fund Management Certificate granted by the State Securities Commission of Vietnam.
Holly Howson
Director of investments
Holly joined Luminous in 2023 as Director of Investments, based in Europe. Her responsibilities entail identifying investment opportunities in various asset classes, including hedge funds. Holly started her career at Citigroup, where she spent almost 10 years in total between London and Singapore focusing on commodity derivative sales. Prior to joining Luminous, Holly worked in digital assets, bridging the gap between traditional financial institutions and blockchain capabilities.
Holly obtained a 1st class BA Honours degree in Business Economics from the University of Exeter.
